When your heart controls you and strangles up your mind
There's a haze above you and a glaze over your eyes
It's the place you flee to when you want to run and hide
Sit by yourself losing track of time
Emily, won't you let me in?
Unlock the door, maybe I can be your friend
All those years of heartache would of turned me into stone
I can see why you might want to be left on your own
Maybe when you're older it won't cut you like a knife
But it's not my place to tell you how to live your life
Emily, won't you let me in?
Unlock the door, maybe I can be your friend
Yours is a leaf worth turning over
But I'm not trying to be your lover
Emily, won't you let me in?
Unlock the door, maybe I can be your friend
Emily, won't you let me in?
Put down your gun, don't you let this be the end

A truly stunning album that mentally transports you to foggy early morning streets, the pavement wet from recent rains. Dreary, but in a comforting way. Like sitting next to a window during a rainstorm, listening to the drops hit the glass while remaining warm. Never fails to make me feel safe. Crow Yo
